Lovely, Dark, and Deep — a reference to Robert Frost’s poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” (The woods are lovely, dark and deep…).

A new ranger named Lennon arrives at Arvores Park to begin her duty. The park has a dark reputation: people regularly disappear here, including the previous caretaker.
Lennon knows about the unexplained vanishings in this place — and she took the job intentionally. She hopes to uncover the mystery of her younger sister’s disappearance, who was lost in these woods over 20 years ago.

But the forest isn’t going to give up its secrets so easily. It can play with your mind and make you doubt what’s happening. Enter this woods seeking the truth, and you might stay there forever.
Although the story is set in the United States, filming took place in the forests of Portugal.

This is a slow-burn arthouse horror, so don’t expect a horror film designed for mass audiences.
