Description
One day, a family arrived at the House of Sayuri — a big country house — and started acting as if it were their home. They brought all their things and settled into the rooms, pretending they were the owners. But this is not their house — it’s the house of a girl named Sayuri. Yes, legally they bought this house. But for a ghost, the laws of this world mean nothing. They all must leave this house. Otherwise, they will all die.
Often, Asian horror films start with elements of comedy and funny situations, gradually picking up pace before turning into a dark and depressing horror.
The creators of House of Sayuri went a different route and reversed the tone — starting as horror and ending as a black comedy.
