Description

Friend of the World — a surreal arthouse horror in black-and-white aesthetics and a post-apocalyptic allegory blending body horror with absurdist drama and philosophical sci-fi.

After a global catastrophe, a girl wakes up among the ruins of what was once human civilization. Whether humanity qualifies as an intelligent species is debatable — considering people spent centuries and even millennia destroying themselves. And finally, they succeeded.

Miraculously surviving, the girl finds refuge in an underground bunker, where her only companion becomes an eccentric military general with radically opposite views.
Trapped in a confined space, the two characters engage in a dialogue balancing between paranoia, madness, and satire against the backdrop of horrifying bodily transformations.

This microbudget 50-minute film explores themes of genetic experiments, propaganda, and the decay of human identity. A perfect choice for fans of experimental indie cinema, arthouse horror, and post-apocalyptic stories outside the mainstream.
